Bio

My name is Luisa Diaz Chamorro, I was born in Málaga, Spain, in 1970 and I am a professional artist.

I live and work in Italy, between the village of Usseaux and Rivoli, in the province of Turin.

I discovered my passion for painting when I was small: at the age of 10 I drew portraits of my family and friends from life. Around the age of 15 I approached the technique of oil painting.

I graduated in mechanical engineering in 1994 at the University of Malaga, the year in which I moved to Turin for work. Painting has always been my passion and I attended art schools in all the wonderful cities where I lived: Malaga, Barcelona, Madrid, Paris and Turin.

In 2009 I obtained a master’s degree in education at the University Alfonso X il Savio in Madrid.

Since 2012 I have started to frequent Usseaux, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Here I began to paint more intensely, using different supports such as stone and wood, and creating murals. After a few years I opened my own business in Usseaux,  in the old stable of my house where it is possible to admire my artworks and I have a second location in Rivoli, where a live.

I discovered the watercolor technique in 2017, which I developed and refined following the teachings of the great Masters in Italy and abroad.

In 2019 I decided to dedicate myself completely to art in a professional way, dedicating myself in particular to the techniques of watercolor, soft pastel and oil.

I dedicate myself to artistic production and also organize watercolor painting holidays  in different languages and online courses
